This park is not big rig friendly. It is on a steep hillside. If you pull in off of hwy you are committed to driving down the hill with very tight turns and rough roads. They did not tell me any of this when I called earlier in the day. Most of the good level sites seem to be permanent residence. The rest look to be uneven and hard to get to.
This is an overnight place to stay park. Mostly working class long term, I was one for five weeks. Felt safe with wife and son. Lake fishing. Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources close by and good museum.
Good for a night or two to learn about the area. Friendly owners. Life in Cimarron moves at a slower pace than the rest of the world so relax and enjoy the culture.
Corps of Engineers park on the Arkansas river near a lock and dam. Nice park, hard to find information on but a good place to relax for a night or two. Grey water dumping is allowed. Dump station at entrance is backwards for pulling out of campground.Sites are large, spread out and fairly level.
Rate is a monthly breakdown. Owners are doing a lot of work to improve and maintain campground. Clean, friendly and safe. Good for seeing the lake area without being in the crowd. Three miles to Wal-mart Supercenter.
Since the economy has taken a downturn the mines are laying people off, there is plenty of room here.We found lots to do in the area from Morenci Mine Tours, old abandoned mine rock hounding, historic town walks and many interesting drives around the area.We stayed about three weeks and will return.
This is a Passport America C.G. $12 / night with P.A. A good reasonably priced RV park for an overnight stay while passing through this part of AZ. Good for checking out local Nat. Monuments and Historic sites.
